Agriculture in Victoria
Victoria is Australia's largest food and fibre exporting state. Victoria's temperate climate, high quality soils and clean water support our world-class agriculture industries.
The key food and fibre industries for Victoria's exports are meat and dairy accounting for 41% of the total value of food and fibre exports.
The value of food and fibre exported from Victoria increased by 12 per cent in 2013-14 to reach a record of $11.4 billion, accounting for 29 per cent Australian exports.
We enable Victoria's agriculture and food sectors to maintain and enhance a reputation for world-class food by sustainably increasing wealth, employment and investment in regional communities.
