Southern Right Whale movements using photo-identification
Individual whales can be identified from the unique pattern of white markings on their head. Photographs of whales from regional and national catalogues have been crossed-referenced to track movements of individuals that visit Victoria.

Understanding how fish populations respond to river flows is central to planning how best to deliver environmental water. Population models will enable a range of management options to be compared, so that the benefits to fish can be maximised.
